  •  $1.00 bill. Larger bills will not be accepted and no change will be given.
  • RFTA $20 or $40 Stored Value Card.
  • Ride Glenwood cards and passes will NOT be accepted until further notice.

RFTA Stored Value Cards may be purchased at the 27th Street RFTA Station and at City Market in Glenwood Springs.

COVID-19 health and safety measures including face coverings, social distancing and no more than 15 passengers at a time remain in place.

RFTA

The Roaring Fork Transportation Authority (RFTA) will resume front door boarding starting Sunday, August 1, and all riders will be required to pay the normal fares upon boarding regional commuter buses, however, cash will no longer be accepted. Passengers will be able to access the fare box in the front of the bus and must exit all buses through the rear door, when possible. The health and safety of the RFTA’s passengers, bus operators and staff is still the top priority, so RFTA is keeping several precautions in place to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. To speed up boarding and to limit interactions with bus operators, RFTA will be going cashless. In order to board a bus, riders must have in hand a Stored Value Card, a 30-Day Zone Pass or a RFTA Seasonal Zone Pass. Stored Value Cards are available at all RFTA Ticket Vending Machines and Authorized Sales Outlets from Aspen to Rifle. 30-Day Zone Passes are available at RFTA Ticket Vending Machines and Seasonal Zone Passes are available for order at pro-rated prices for the current season. For a full list of pass sales locations visit www.rfta.com/fares. One exception to the cashless fares is Ride Glenwood, riders boarding Ride Glenwood buses will be able to pay the one-dollar fare with either cash or a RFTA issued Stored Value Card.
