Water Department
Mission Statement
The Water/Wastewater department is a branch of the City’s Public Works department. The department seeks to carry out its responsibilities for the production and distribution of potable and raw water, as well as the collection and treatment of wastewater in a cost effective manner.

Utility Assistance for Low-Income Households
Glenwood Springs City Council has allocated funds to assist low-income households with ONE-TIME assistance on their water utility bill. The River Center of New Castle will be facilitating those financial requests.
Program qualifications:
You or a member of the household must qualify under one of these programs to be eligible. Verification required.:
- SNAP
- LEAP
- TANF
- WIC
- Medicaid
- CHP+
- Head Start
- Free & Reduced Lunch
