Glenwood Springs River Commission invites you to join a “Learning Lunch.”
When: Wednesday, January 20th from 11:30AM to 12:00PM
Many of our lives were upended this past summer during the Grizzly Creek Fire. Now that the flames are gone, what are the potential long-term impacts to our beautiful Colorado River? Riverfront property owners, river recreationalists, and river enthusiasts alike can take this opportunity to learn more about the topic.
In an informal talk hosted by Mayor Jonathan Godes, Carol Ekarius, CEO of Coalitions and Collaboratives, and Dave “DK” Kanzer, Deputy Chief Engineer with the Colorado River District, will explore what to expect in the years to come in terms of potential short and long term impacts related to flooding (including probabilities and resiliency) and water quality.
