Those wishing to run for a City Council seat in the regular election of the City of Glenwood Springs on April 4, 2017, may pick up a Nominating Petition (beginning Tuesday, January 3rd) from the City Clerk at City Hall, 101 W. 8th Street, Suite 325.
Those wishing to run for a City Council seat in the regular election of the City of Glenwood Springs on April 4, 2017, may pick up a Nominating Petition (beginning Tuesday, January 3rd) from the City Clerk at City Hall, 101 W. 8th Street, Suite 325.
There are three City Council seats up for election:
Ward 2 (Four-year term)
Ward 5 (Four-year term)
At Large (Four-year term)
All candidates must be a citizen of the United States, have resided in the City of Glenwood Springs for one year immediately prior to the date of the election, and be a qualified elector as defined by the laws of the State of Colorado. Those candidates running in Wards 2 and 5 must reside in the Ward for which (s)he is running.
Petitions must be returned to the City Clerk no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, January 23, 2017.
The Glenwood Springs City Council is a non-partisan body of local government; therefore, there is no party affiliation designation or requirement to be seated on City Council.
