[ARCHIVED] Household Hazardous Waste Drop Off and Paint Drop Off Scheduled for April 22

The City of Glenwood Springs will host a HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE DROP OFF EVENT, on Saturday, April 22, 2017, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Community Center, in the upper parking lot.

 

Household hazardous waste will be accepted from PRIVATE parties only. NO commercial hazardous waste will be accepted. NO waste oil or tires.

All drop offs are accepted by appointment only. Reservations start on April 11, 2017. Call 945-5375 for more information.

This service will be free to Glenwood Springs residents. Proof will be utility bill or driver’s license. People living outside the city limits of Glenwood Springs will be charged $2.00 per gallon, liquids or solids as estimated by attendant. Call 945-5375 for an appointment or information.


The City of Glenwood Springs will also host a PAINT DROP OFF EVENT, on Saturday, April 22, 2017, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at the Community Center.

This service will be free for people living in the city limits of Glenwood Springs. Utility bills or driver’s license will be proof. County or other municipality residents will be charged $2.00 per gallon, not container size but actual amount as estimated by attendant. Contractors and Commercial Painters can bring Latex paint and water based finishes to recycle for $3.00 per gallon, not container size but actual amount as estimated by attendant.

Please NO containers larger than 5 gal.

 

All water based paints, stains, and clear finishes will be recycled other types will be disposed of according to State and Federal regulations.
