In an effort to reduce the peak-hour vehicle impact of City employees during the 95-day Grand Avenue Bridge (GAB) closure, the City of Glenwood Springs is revising the operating hours for City Hall, located at 101 West 8th Street.
The City believes that extending office hours during the detour will provide additional flexibility for individuals needing to conduct business at City Hall. Offering three additional business hours Monday-Thursday may help people access City Hall outside of the peak traffic travel times.
City Hall:
Mon - Thurs, 7am - 7pm
Police Department:
Mon - Thurs, 7am - 7pm
Fire Department:
Mon - Thurs, 7am - 5:30pm
Electric Department:
Mon - Thurs, 7am - 5:30pm
In case of emergency, call 911. For non-emergency help outside of Police Department Operating Hours, call Garfield County Dispatch at 970-625-8095.
Anyone wanting to pay their bill, sign up for electric service, or ask questions about their billing should call 970-384-6455.
Although City Hall will be closed on Fridays, the Police Department will be available on an emergency basis. Non-emergency situations occurring during City Hall closures will typically be addressed the following Monday, except for city holidays.
The City Hall drop box will continue to be available to receive documents and payments. Filing and payment deadlines falling on Fridays or weekends will be extended to the following Monday.
