[ARCHIVED] Drop-Off Your Christmas Tree at the Old Rodeo Grounds

Leaf and Christmas Tree Recycle Drop-off Location

Now through January 7, residents of Glenwood Springs can drop-off their Christmas trees at the old rodeo grounds, adjacent to the airport.

Before leaving the tree at the collection site, please be sure to remove all lights, ornaments, tree stands, nails, and any other objects that could damage the wood chipping equipment. The collection site is intended for Christmas trees and fallen leaves only. Please—no wreaths, garland, yard waste (other than leaves), tree branches, or other wood products.

To get to the collection site, head south on Midland Avenue to Airport Road. There will be signs on Airport Road explaining where to drop-off the trees. Trees can also be dropped off any time of year at the South Canyon Landfill.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding the leaf collection site, please contact Jake Velasquez at (970) 384-6379 or
