City Council approved the 27th Street Bridge project design and construction management at the regular August 2, 2018 City Council meeting. Council awarded the bridge design services to Wood and construction management to HDR. The City is now awaiting final approval to bid for this project from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). The FHWA approval process is anticipated to take up to a few weeks. Contractor bidding will then take another four to five weeks. Once construction begins, this project is currently anticipated to last for 12-18 months.
