[ARCHIVED] CONE ZONE: (Completed) S. Grand Ave. Night Closures for Utility Work July 15 & 16

Cone Zone

Work is complete and tonight's (Tuesday, July 16) closure is cancelled.

S. Grand Ave. between 27th Street and Penrose Plaza to be closed nightly July 15, 16 beginning at 7 p.m.

Construction crews are scheduled to work on CenturyLink telcom utilities on S. Grand Ave. on Mon., July 15 and Tues., July 16. The work is not directly associated with 27th Street Bridge construction, but the City of Glenwood Springs encouraged CenturyLink to complete the construction concurrent with other utility work to minimize impacts to the public.

At approximately 7 p.m. each evening, S. Grand Ave. between 27th St. and Penrose Plaza will be closed until 6 a.m. on the following mornings. These closures are required for trenching and construction access. CenturyLink service interruptions are not anticipated but are possible.

During closures, S. Grand Avenue traffic will be detoured via Colorado Highway 82. The 27th Street Bridge is anticipated to remain open during this work. Local business and residential access will remain open. Updates or changes to the schedule will be announced via ConeZone.
