Crews are making good progress on utility connections across the site, have nearly completed the removal of the old traffic bridge piers and are wrapping up the phase I construction of the new roundabout at 27th Street and S. Grand Ave. Plan ahead for next week and read more about the road and river impacts.
10/7-10/8: 27th Street Bridge Closure & Night Work
Beginning at 6 PM on Monday, October 7, the 27th Street Bridge will be closed to traffic until approximately 12 PM (noon) on Tuesday, October 8 for deep utility work. Crews will be working through the night to install a storm sewer line approximately 14 feet below ground across the west side of the roadway. Expect construction noise and lights through the night. The pedestrian bridge will remain open during this time. For alternate access, motorists should use the detour via 8th Street.
10/8: Roaring Fork River Holds
On Tuesday, October 8 from approximately 7 AM-12 PM (noon), expect up to one hour holds on the Roaring Fork River at 27th Street for construction crews to safely finish removal of the old traffic bridge footer. These holds are for safety during critical overhead work. This schedule is subject to change.
Reminder: Construction of the Two Rivers boat ramp and river walk project begins on Monday, October 7 and will continue through April. The closure of the entire park, including the boat ramp along the Colorado River, will remain in effect through April 2020. Learn more >>
