Please read for closure reminders and see progress photos from the site.
Reminder: Tomorrow, Wednesday, December 11 at 6 PM, 27th Street will change from the eastbound lane closure to a full closure of the bridge. The full closure is anticipated to be in effect until approximately 6 AM on Monday, December 16. The pedestrian bridge will also be closed during the full closure. Pedestrians and bicyclists should use the 14th Street Bridge or the Old Cardiff Bridge for alternate access. Motorists should use the 8th Street detour.
The eastbound closure remains in effect until the full closure begins at 6 PM on December 11. The south leg of the intersection at Grand Ave. and 27th Street will remain closed. For alternate access to areas south of the intersection, please use the detour via Co Rd 154 at Buffalo Valley.
These closures are required for crews to form, pour and cure the concrete for the new roundabout and its surrounding connections. Crews have made great progress on concrete work and will continue to closely monitor weather conditions. Both lanes of traffic and the south leg of the roundabout are scheduled to reopen the morning of Monday, December 16, weather permitting.
During these closures, please expect construction lights and noise for night work. Work is weather dependent and subject to change. Updates or changes to the schedule will be announced via ConeZone and will be updated on the project information line, 618-5379.
