2016 is the Year of the Pedestrian Bridge - Contractor begins work on the north pedestrian bridge abutment.
• The north sidewalk on pedestrian bridge is closed for two weeks. Pedestrians will be routed to the north pedestrian underpass and crosswalk on 6th and Laurel.
• Upcoming: Pedestrian catwalk and ramp closes in the next week. Pedestrians will be routed to the stairs to access the pedestrian bridge. The catwalk to the pedestrian bridge will be removed. This work will take place at night. The removal of the catwalk is necessary to complete the cantilevered pedestrian walkway along the traffic bridge by the March 1st, 2016 contracted deadline.
If pedestrians are mobility and/or visually impaired, they may call Valley Taxi 970-945-4111 for a free ride across the bridge. This service is limited to mobility and/or visually impaired pedestrians.
