[ARCHIVED] Glenwood Springs Cancels 2020 Spring Clean Up, Offers Landfill Vouchers

The City of Glenwood Springs has canceled Spring Clean Up for 2020. This is a proactive measure to limit employee-resident interactions to slow the potential spread, impacts, and damage of COVID-19.

Residents can receive a voucher for one free personal pick-up size load at the landfill to assist with normal Spring Clean Up items.  Vouchers are available to Glenwood Springs residents only, and only one per household.

Residents who would like a voucher can email their name and address to or call 970-384-6449. The voucher will be mailed to the address and resident identified. The vouchers will be accepted until July 1, 2020, an extension of the original June 1 deadline that is on the pre-printed vouchers.

The vouchers are not redeemable for cash and are only valid for the resident and address listed on the voucher. Face coverings are required at the landfill while outside of one’s vehicle. Those without a face covering will be asked to leave and return with the appropriate face covering.

Acceptable voucher materials include metal, wire, bicycles, wood, brush, appliances, yard waste (not bagged). Materials NOT accepted: electronic recycling, tires, hazardous waste, paints, oils, or appliances without a Freon Free sticker.
