Glenwood Canyon Bike Path/Rest Areas Update

• Rest areas and the recreation path along Interstate 70 in Glenwood Canyon are closed. This safety closure will affect the Shoshone Power Plant along with the Grizzly Creek rest areas due to weather forecasts calling for rainfall above the Grizzly Creek Fire burn scar.
• The rest areas and path will continue to be closed until the forecast improves. I-70 continues to be open and is not affected at this time, with current conditions always posted at cotrip.org.
• Motorists planning to travel on I-70, visit rest areas or use the recreation path in Glenwood Canyon should pay close attention to weather forecasts. If there is rain in the forecast, be prepared for a safety closure of I-70, rest areas, and recreation path.

South Midland Ave. (Keep South Midland Moving Project)

• Read the latest project update for information about a scheduled power outage, pedestrian/bike detours, Fourth of July weekend schedule, and more. >>
• Motorists should anticipate a lane shift through the work area on South Midland. The traffic lane shift is necessary for access to the roadway for utility work and downhill wall construction.  
• Regular lane closure hours are 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on weekdays and 7 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturdays.

CO 82 and 27th Street Intersection - Ongoing Traffic Control

• June 23-July 31, 2021 - Motorists should anticipate various traffic control operations at the intersection of 27th Street and CO Highway 82. Traffic impacts will include lane shifts, turn pocket closure, and shoulder work for utility verification for proposed RFTA pedestrian underpass.
• Work hours: 7 a.m.-5 p.m.

CO 82 and 14th Street/11th Street Intersections -  CDOT CO 82 and CO 133 Signal Replacement Project 

• The CDOT signal replacement project on CO 82/Grand Avenue will occur at 11th Street and 14th Street and on CO 133 at Village Road and Meadowood Drive. Motorists should plan for street closures, turn lane closures, and lane closures on CO 82.

Roaring Fork Marketplace/Blake Ave. Improvement Project

• Road closure on Blake Ave. at the south Walmart entrance
• Business access open via 29^th Street and main Roaring Fork Marketplace entrance at CO 82 and Blake Ave. (by McDonalds)
• Bus stop closed until September. Use 27^th Street station.

 Xcel Glenwood Springs – Mitchell Creek Electric Transmission Line Rebuild Project
