Paving on S. Midland starts Nov. 1. Expect extended work hours Monday & Tuesday, long delays through Nov. 7.
Reminder - Paving work on the South Midland corridor begins tomorrow, Monday, November 1, with extended hours into the evening traffic peaks on Monday and Tuesday. Crews will be working along South Midland Avenue from Park West to the north end of the newly installed downhill wall. Paving will also occur at the Airport Road, Four Mile Road, Mt. Sopris, Three Mile Road, and Cardiff Bridge Road street connections.
A one-lane alternating traffic configuration will be in place during paving operations. Narrow lanes, long waits and drying-time delays of approximately 15 minutes are all expected as the race against the weather is on to get the bottom and top mats of the asphalt laid. Please note that delays are longest when traffic is heaviest.

Your patience is greatly appreciated during paving operations, a critical step towards preparing the South Midland corridor for the upcoming winter break. This paving work is the last of the most impactful work throughout the corridor in 2021. Stay tuned for a starting date for the winter break during which construction will be on pause. Construction will resume after the winter break for a Summer 2022 completion.
