Keep South Midland Moving

Road work is anticipated to start again on South Midland. Construction anticipated to begin in early March.

Work on the South Midland improvement project is anticipated to begin again following a planned winter break. Depending on weather conditions, construction activity could resume as soon as early March. At that time, motorists can expect one-lane road closures on South Midland on weekdays from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Water main tie-in work, tentatively scheduled to begin March 7, will require crews to operate later hours. Further updates about extended work hours will be provided.

Anticipated traffic impacts:

  • Safety and minimizing impacts to residents and the traveling public are top project priorities. When closures are in place, the contractor is expected to keep two lanes open during peak travel times for most of the project and provide advanced notice for planned lane closures that extend outside of the regular operating hours.
  • Always plan for extra travel time through the area. Construction is dynamic and circumstances can change quickly and unexpectedly.
  • Know before you go by signing up for South Midland email or text alerts at cogs.us/NotifyMe.

Thank you in advance for your patience as the South Midland team works to deliver the project on schedule this summer.
