Update May 4, 7:30 AM - Today South Midland crews need to begin lane closures early to work on weather-related repairs to the unpaved portions of South Midland. Expect heavy delays.
Update May 2, 8:30 AM - South Midland crews are rescheduled to begin paving tomorrow, Tuesday May 3 and will pave as much as possible through Saturday, May 7 as weather allows. Based on the current weather forecast, it is possible that paving will need to continue into next week.
Weather permitting, motorists can expect one-lane road closures and significant travel delays on South Midland and delays on 27th Street on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., Wednesdays from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m., and Saturdays from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Paving work in the South Midland corridor begins this Monday, May 2, and runs through Saturday, May 7. Crews will be paving along Midland Avenue. Paving will also occur Tuesday through Saturday on Hager Lane, where residents can expect longer delays than previously experienced during paving activities. A one-lane alternating traffic configuration will be maintained during working hours. Expect significant delays.
Your patience is greatly appreciated during paving operations, a critical step towards completing the South Midland improvements on time this summer.
