[ARCHIVED] North-South Connector begins operation May 16

The City of Glenwood Springs in partnership with the Roaring Fork Transportation Authority will begin a new free shuttle service on Monday, May 16.

The North-South Connector will provide the community an alternative mode of travel for pedestrians wishing to get from the north side of the Grand Avenue bridge to the downtown area on the south side of the Colorado River during the construction of the new pedestrian bridge.

The North-South Connector shuttle will operate from 9 a.m. until 11 p.m., seven days a week, until March of 2017, when the new pedestrian bridge is scheduled for completion. The shuttle route will consist of one roundtrip every 20 minutes. The North-South Connector will make stops at the Hotel Colorado on Pine St. and on the corner of Olive St. and 6th St. on the north side of the bridge. On the south side of the bridge the Connector will stop on 8th St. and Cooper Ave. and at the corner of 9th St. at Centennial Park.
