Update February 28, 5 p.m. - The South Canyon Landfill will reopen with its normal schedule on March 1 at 8 a.m. Additional future repairs to the scale will be required but will be announced in advance once they are scheduled.

Unfortunately, the South Canyon Landfill will be temporarily closed until further notice. The scale is broken and staff is making efforts to get it in working order again as soon as possible.
The downtown recycling center remains open and is able to accept household waste and recycling. Municipal waste is still able to be accepted at South Canyon Landfill.
